Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

I emailed you and haven't received a response, what is up with that?

When we changed ownership, we unfortunately lost access to the "designsforyou@bellsouth.net" email and we have had to change over to Danny's email which is ricky.designsforyou@gmail.com

When can I expect to hear about my order?

We will call/text/email you when your order is complete. We know that you are anxiously awaiting your order, however as there are only two of us and this is a small business, we ask for patience and to wait until you have heard from us. For small orders, if you have been waiting an extended period of time (three weeks or more), you are welcome to check in with us, but typically as soon as an order is complete, we reach out to the customer.

Can I bring in my own items?

Of course you can! We take in customer supplied items daily, however we do not guarantee them. This means that if something were to happen in either printing or embroidery, we don't guarantee that we will replace them. More often than not, we do, especially if the error was ours. For example, if a name was spelled to us incorrectly, we would not guarantee that we could replace the item the name was put on. We typically do our best to find either the same item or a comparable item of equal value, or will deduct the retail value of the item from your order if a replacement cannot be found.

NOTE: If you are bringing in t-shirts or any items to be PRINTED, please ensure that they are new and unwashed. We have found that items that are washed before being brought to us for printing do not hold up well over time and the design will eventually completely crack and peel off. This is due to the film that can be left behind on clothing from laundry detergents and fabric softeners. Additionally, clothes that have been placed into the dryer with a dryer sheet, tend to have a waxy feel after. This creates a barrier between your garment and the ink, which is not ideal for long-term use.

What can I expect from my embroidered items?

Here are some key points that I like to make when letting people know about their embroidered items:

  • stablizer inside of item, particularly polos, crews, or even tees, will soften with each wash and will not remain stiff
  • "hoop burn" or the circle/box that appears around the design WILL fade with first wash. This is just a happenstance of the item being hooped and is not a permanent fixture of your garment/item
  • Should you have a loose thread appear, please do NOT pull it as this can damage the overall design. I would instead recommend that you use a small pair of scissors such as cuticle scissors, to snip the thread instead. If you are not comfortable doing this and it is convenient, please don't hesitate to drop by and Brittany will be happy to quickly take care of this for you at no cost
  • You do not need to wash your embroidered items in any special way, for my own items that I have done, I just throw them in with everything else and they wash/wear really well

Do you ship orders?

We can, however we typically don't. As many of our customers are local, we encourage you to pick up your order or make arrangements to have your order picked up.

What type of payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, now including American Express, and we also accept Apple Pay and Google Pay.
